Mid-year Unit Spotlight 2: Carolina, PR

For our second mid-year unit spotlight, we have the SCOTTY Safety Theater 35-Classroom made for the Municipal Government of Carolina in Carolina, PR.
English and Spanish are the primary languages of the instructor and students that will be using this unit. It was a top priority for us to ensure accessibility to reliable fire and weather safety information by providing translated labels for each device, operating mechanism, & switch.
Another notable addition to this unit is the 35-Classroom that was customized for instructor lead curriculum as well as mobile command post needs. This is equipped with the standard features of a heated door, smoke machine, and an escape window with a ladder. The unit sets itself apart from other classrooms with an added wheelchair lift as well as an entertainment center with a 55” TV so instructors can cater their lessons to different classes of all levels and abilities.
Functioning as a multi purpose unit, we added exterior scene lights, red/blue emergency lights, and a yellow traffic directional arrow on the exterior of the unit to be used for field operations or emergency deployments.
