Forensics on the go with the Evidence Collection Truck

For this week’s featured unit, we wanted to give the spotlight to one of the vehicles we upfitted for our customers at Sirchie: the Evidence Collection Truck made for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation in Kansas City, KS. This 18′ box truck serves as an ideal location to further investigate, store, and transport evidence collected on the job. In addition to the ample overhead and ground-level aluminum cabinets and shelves, this unit features one workstation with two stools, one wall-mounted fire extinguisher, an eye wash station, one wall-mounted first aid kit, a document holder, two portable 75′ extension cords, one folding aluminum ladder, one antenna cable with an NMO mount for a department-supplied radio, one cabover storage area with a 36×36″ access door, three small LED flood lights, and one roof vent.

- 2025 Ford F-500 18′ chassis
- Onan 7.0 gasoline generator with remote start and ATS
- A battery charger and 50-amp shoreline
- One wastebasket, document holder, battery combination carbon monoxide alarm and smoke detector
- Four exterior scene lights
- Eight red/blue emergency lights and one Whelen siren
- Two rear telescoping LED lights
- Two exterior aluminum storage boxes
