Hillsborough Emergency Services Department Gets New EOC

On Monday afternoon, a finished Command 42-6WS 2SO made for the Orange County Emergency Services Department left for Hillsborough, NC! They’ll be using their new unit to act as an Emergency Operations Center where they can coordinate necessary assistance and resources during an emergency event. With that in mind, their unit has been customized to feature ten workstations, six 24″ customer supplied computer monitors, a galley with a microwave and refrigerator, one wall-mounted electronics rack, a fifth wheel storage compartment, a conference room with one 50″ LED TV, a Furrion Vision S Wireless Vehicle Observation System, three LG-24″ LED HDTV monitors, a security camera system with eight 180 degree Vivotek digital dome cameras, three customer supplied radios, and so much more.
Other features include:
- Three awnings: one 8×16 electric w/arms, and two 10′ awning toppers
- Gooseneck Hitch
- Two 120″ wide opposing slide outs
- Electric Jacks at the rear and an Electric Landing Gear up front
- Manual 3-step staircases at entrance doors on curbside
- One removable 75×32″ table meant to go inside the Communication Room
- Six mounted and six task chairs for workstations and conference room
- Three customer supplied radios with 12 antennas, mics, and 12 speakers
- Interior/exterior accessible storage area underneath padded bench in conference room
- Two customer supplied roof antennas
- Six Fire Research Corporation (FRC) 12 Volt LED flush surface mount scene lights
- Eight Whelen flush surface mount red M4 lights w/strobes
